The Black Pearl Conversion WIP part 2

Wow the last time I worked on this was July of 2013...where does the time go? Alright I figured out what I am going to do with the 8 cannon ports. I only had 5 of the 8 cannon port covers so I glued 4 in place on the starboard (right) side.

Then I used my dremel to remove the "cannons" from the port (left) side.

I then made 4 cannons using my silicone cannon mold I made for the Boneyard and glued them in place. I also made the cannon port covers using the same wooden sticks I will use to make the deck.

Here is the ship completely glued together before priming.

I didn't take pictures of the ship primed but I used the same spray paint as on the Boneyard. The Rust-oleum - Rusty Metal Primer and Krylon - Satin Brown Boots as the base coat.

Here is the check list of what is left to complete the conversion:
1. Make and paint decks
2. Add ladder rungs
3. Paint masts
4. Make sails
5. Make/buy/modify a steering wheel and anchor
6. Paint all details and final wash
7. Make base plate

UPDATE

Time for a much over due update. I have more started projects then I care to count. So, I will try to limit starting any new ones at the time and try to finish those that I have already started; like finishing the conversion of the Black Pearl.

There is one new project however, that I am starting that is of note. A new Valkyrie has entered the war on Valhalla! Brandar the Archkyrie of Isles of Haukeland has mastered the art of summoning warriors using the wellspring on Huakeland and has now entered the fight, after attacks on his ships made by Valkrill's ghost ship Boneyard.

Where is Huakeland you ask...below is a map of Valhalla, which has been colored and updated by DanieLoche on Heroscapers.com

Behold the symbol of Brandar:

Brandar currently fights along side Jandar and the alliance as they are enemies of Valkrill and Utgar, and we all know the enemy of my enemy is my friend. But only time will tell where his true allegiance lies. Yes, Brandar is also a name of a glyph already in Herosscape, however, most glyphs are named after Kyrie in Valhalla and why not use a mysterious glyph with no set power as the name for my new unknown Valkyrie. More will be learned of Brandar and his forces starting in Wave 4: Einar's Empire.

Many on Heroscapers.com have debated the Good/Neutral/Evil alignment of the Valkyrie after the introduction of the D&D waves and the introduction of Valkrill. I have made a chart showing what I think each Valkyrie's alignment is, shown below. This is helpful in creating custom units for each Valkyrie General and creating the new Valkyrie Brandar.

I know what you are thinking, why are you creating a new Valkyrie General? It has been done before and never really took off. Well I am doing this not because I think the units I am creating don't fit in with any of the existing Valkyrie Generals but because I want to flush out more of the story of Valhalla myself and believe I have found an unexplored part of Valhalla and the perfect theme to introduce a new Valkyrie General to Heroscape.

That is all for now. Until the next update

The Book of Spider-Man (Symbiote)

The Book of Spider-Man (Symbiote)
Bangerang Super Hero Custom

The figure used for this unit is 208 Symbiote from Heroclix: Sinister.

SYMBIOTIC-SENSES 9
If Spider-Man is attacked and at least 1 skull is rolled, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 9 or higher, Spider-Man takes no damage and may immediately use his Swing Line 4 special power.

SWING LINE 4
Instead of his normal move, Spider-Man may use his Swing Line. Swing Line has a move of 4. When counting spaces for Spider-Man’s Swing Line movement, ignore elevations. Spider-Man may swing over water without stopping, swing over figures without becoming engaged, and swing over obstacles such as ruins. Spider-Man may not Swing Line more than 40 levels up or down in a single Swing Line. If Spider-Man is engaged when he starts to Swing Line, he will not take any leaving engagement attacks.

BERSERKER RAGE 3
When Spider-Man attacks, he may attack 1 additional time for each Wound Marker on this card, up to a maximum of 3 total attacks in a single turn.

SUPER STRENGTH
A figure with Super Strength is not affected by the Falling and Major Falling rules, and they will also ignore any special powers that give automatic shields to Destructible Objects.

The Book of Tony Stark

The Book of Tony Stark
Bangerang Super Hero Custom

The figure used for this unit is Tony Stark from Heroclix: Marvel Iron Man 3.

J.A.R.V.I.S. SYSTEM CONTROL
You may draft this figure into the same army with any other Iron Man figures with the secret identity of Tony Stark that do not have the class of Mechanic. At the start of the game, all other Iron Man figures you control are chosen for J.A.R.V.I.S. System Control and have the species of Android, instead of what is listed on the card. After revealing an Order Marker on this card and taking a turn with this Iron Man, you may take a turn with one other Iron Man figure you control.

SUIT UP
When any other Iron Man figure moves adjacent to Tony Stark you may place Tony Stark on that Iron Man’s Army Card. After moving with a Iron Man with Tony Stark’s Figure on its Army Card you may place Tony Stark on any adjacent space. If Tony Stark is on a Iron Man Army Card when that Iron Man is destroyed, place Tony Stark on the space that was occupied by the destroyed Iron Man.

-Rulings and Clarifications-
  • Q: If Tony Stark is destroyed or an opposing player takes control of him, does this nullify the effects of J.A.R.V.I.S. System Control such as your ability to have multiple Iron Man: Tony Stark figures in the same army, or the change of their species to Android?
  • A: No, those effects begin at the start of the game and are for the remainder of the game, so they remain in effect even if Iron Man is destroyed or you lose control of Iron Man to an opponent. Only the portion of the Slave Circuit ability tied to Order Markers on Iron Man's card would be lost to you at that point.
  • Q: When I'm drafting other Tony Stark figures to use with the J.A.R.V.I.S. System Control ability, can I draft the same figure (such as Iron Man) more than once?
  • A: Yes. The J.A.R.V.I.S. System Control ability "breaks" the rule preventing more than one Unique Hero from being drafted in the same army, allowing you to draft any number of the same Unique Hero that you choose in the same army as long as they're all Tony Stark figures.
