Trash to Treasure Custom Terrain Contest Entry

I decided to enter the Trash to Treasure Custom Terrain Contest put on by Lamaclown and Auggie over on Heroscapers.com. The required objects for this contest were egg cartons and drinking straws.

Other materials that I used were 4 water hexes, 5 ladder rungs, cardboard, an empty vitamin bottle, and Smooth-on Smooth-cast 45D (for the "liquid" leaking out of the bottle).

The finished product turned out nicely. It is the same height as a standard Heroscape castle wall; making it an interactive piece that can be climbed and stood upon. Also, it is inter-lockable because of the 4 water hexes that make its base.

Hope you enjoy and I would love to see your own Trash to Treasure creations.

Introduction to the Heroscape blog

I decided to create this blog as a place for all of my Heroscape customs, rather than keeping them on forms and my general blog. The pages will serve as an index for each type of custom for the game; whether that is a classic custom, a map, or a custom that doesn't fit into the classic system such as Halo or Disney customs.

My posts will include unfinished customs and hopefully "how to's" on painting and casting. My finished custom units will be designated by the following: "The Book of ..."
The reason for this is to be consistent with Heroscapers.com and to make it easier to pick up and play my customs. I will also try to organize and release my custom units in waves, just like the original game was.

My first wave will be called Darkness Falling...hopefully you can guess what type of units are coming. To give you a better idea the first pack of Heroes will include the following species: Kyrie, Drow, Human and Undead.

Thanks for viewing and hope you like what you find. And please tell me what you think.
